2 Lined Cloth
A warp knitted woollen fabric for glove making, made with the threads of the upper guides napped to form a fur back. When the upper guide carries cotton yarn and the lower guide woollen yarn, the fabric is called " lined cloth." When the upper guide carries wool and the lower guide cotton, the cloth is known as " plush lining." When the upper guide carries soft-twisted cotton yarn and the lower guide hard-twisted cotton yarn, the cloth is called " cotton lining." The fabrics are chiefly used for glove linings. -
3 Lined Cloths
Such fabrics as travelling rugs, cloakings, overcoatings, etc., which consist of a face cloth of one design or colour to which is woven another cloth as a lining and of a different design or colour. Generally made from coarse worsted and woollen yarns. Cotton is sometimes used to cheapen the fabric. -
4 Lined Satin
A warp knitted fabric made with three guide-bars. The upper and lower bars lap opposite to each other in satin order. The middle guide laps on each row around two needles in the direction of the lap of the lower guide-bar. -
5 Lined Tricot
A warp knitted fabric in the making of which three guide-bars are used. The cloth is napped on the back. The guide-bars are used lapping in the following order; upper, under 1 over 1, to left and return; middle, under 3 to right and return; lower, under 2 over 1 to right and return. -

A twill effect made by a combination of broken diamond twills such as the birds' eye. -

A heavy woollen knitted fabric with three series of threads forming face, back and binding. The back is raised to form the " fleece lining." An imitation is made of the ordinary single thread woollen underwear fabric with a raised nap on its inner face. The heavy nap or fleece is produced by running the cloth through wire-covered rolls, called brushers. -
